I would like to ask everyone: in the pump seal flushing system for methanol in methanol-to-hydrogen plants, the 53B design proposed by the design institute – in the event of a leak in the main seal – allows the sealing fluid to enter the methanol. What problems might this cause in terms of production? What are the actual solutions chosen for implementation in everyone’s devices? Series 53 or 52? Thank you first!
11+52+K as well as 11+53B+K are both in use. If the medium does not allow contamination, 52 is acceptable; as for the consequences of 53B, it depends on what kind of medium is used as the sealing oil
