Motor vehicle use is restricted, businesses are shut down, and the burning of low-quality coal is prohibited. . . . . . Yet the fog in Shijiazhuang still persists. Is there really no other choice but to wait for the wind?
These measures merely reflect the attitude of my region **towards fog; they are things that can be done within the scope of existing authority. Solving this problem is not something that can be achieved in a short time.
Just back from Shijiazhuang! Individuals prefer to **not do it!** I’m in Xinji City; **production stops when inspections arrive and resumes once they leave. There are also many small private enterprises that carry out production and discharge pollutants without any permits!
Be patient; it’s the same around the imperial capital too
There’s nothing that can be done about it – even in such places, achievements are needed, and people have to make a living; so things will only get stricter in the future

The dangers of fog mai were first exaggerated by some media outlets; moreover, manufacturers of instruments used for detecting fog mai are even more inclined to highlight its hazards. Some environmental protection agencies believe that by monitoring fog, they can reduce its occurrence. Even more absurd are those unqualified officials in these agencies, who attribute fog to local industrial emissions, vehicle emissions, straw burning, and even people’s daily activities. Fog is a product of various pollutants interacting with the atmospheric environment, and it cannot be completely eliminated simply by shutting down factories or imposing traffic restrictions. From another perspective, the shift from coal to gas (for heating and household cooking) is also a factor contributing to fog, as the combustion of natural gas adds to the atmosphere water, a key component in the formation of fog; whereas when coal is burned, less water is produced. As long as the GDP figure is reduced and the comfort of daily life is diminished, fog will naturally decrease significantly. But neither the people nor the commoners will agree to do this. Then you’ll have to bear with it.
In our hometown, in order to meet environmental standards, barbecuing and street vending were prohibited; ordinary restaurants had to close down, and those who burned straw were detained for 15 days. All areas with bare soil along the roads were covered with nets…………
