Our two distillation towers are designed to handle 50,000 tons per year. Previously, the output of crude methanol was low and never reached 20,000 tons; however, the company has now increased the methanol production to over 30,000 tons. Yet the capacity of the methanol distillation units is not sufficient to handle this volume, so I think hot washing is necessary. Moreover, there is a large amount of oil-like substances in our waste liquid. Should it be washed with steam directly, or with chemicals added? Could the experts please take a look at the specific control indicators and precautions?
Heat-wash it with an alkaline solution, heat it with steam, circulate the alkaline solution, and wash the entire distillation system with an alkaline solution
Full reflux? What is the concentration of the alkaline solution? Caustic soda or soda ash? Is it easy to clean after alkali washing? Will it affect the product? Seeking advice from experts
