I come from the field of chemical engineering machinery; I used to work in a manufacturing plant on pressure vessel design. I have now switched to working in the field of filters, and my work involves calculations such as flow rate calculation, velocity calculation, pressure drop calculation, and filtration area calculation. Although filters are also pressure vessels, such calculations do not fall under the category of strength calculations for equipment. I would like to ask those in the equipment industry: to which category do these calculations belong? ? ? What relevant courses should be taken?
