According to a report by the Finnish Broadcasting Corporation on March 12, Finland has built the world’s largest biogas power plant. This plant will primarily use waste materials to produce biogas, which will be used for generating electricity and providing heat to residents in the surrounding area. With an output capacity of 140 megawatts, it is expected to help reduce Finland’s reliance on coal for electricity production by 40%, while also creating 400 new jobs.
