What is the standard energy consumption for hydrogen production via methanol cracking?
Methanol: 0.57 tons; Deionized water: 0.32 tons; Electricity: 220V/380V, 150 kWh; Instrument air: 80 Nm3/h. Production cost: The cost per Nm3 of pure hydrogen in the workshop is 2.0–3.0 yuan; if carbon dioxide can be recovered and sold, the product cost can be reduced to 1.5–2.0 yuan. (Plant costs vary slightly depending on the scale of the facility and fluctuations in methanol market prices.) )
I. Material quantities: Flow rate of raw methanol – 750 kg/h; Flow rate of raw circulating liquid – 750 kg/h; Flow rate of deionized water – 400 kg/h.
II. Temperatures: Feed temperature in the vaporization superheater – 140–160°C; Bottom temperature in the vaporization superheater – 150–160°C; Top temperature in the vaporization superheater – 220–260°C.
III. Pressure in the vaporization superheater: 1.3 MPa.
IV. Composition of the raw liquid: Methanol and deionized water are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:1; Methanol – ~50% (by weight); Water – ~50% (by weight)
That makes sense; CO2 is easy to sell these days
