Should the pressure gauge be installed in front of or behind the pump’s outlet valve?

I have seen two types on site. What impact will this have before and after the valve? (My personal analysis is that before the valve, the pressure is low when the valve is open)； Behind the valve, increasing the valve opening increases the pressure.) Thank you all Is that correct?
It is theoretically incorrect to install a valve on the pressure gauge of a centrifugal pump, as this leads to a typical problem: it becomes impossible to monitor the outlet pressure when starting the pump

Pressure gauges should be installed on the outlet pipelines (before the valves) of all pump units: 1. To facilitate startup/switching by allowing monitoring of pressure fluctuations; 2. To provide an immediate indication during maintenance whether the material has been completely removed and whether the pump has been depressurized.
