The rotor of shielded pumps often gets damaged – what’s the reason for this? Has anyone encountered this issue?
I use shielded pumps a lot, but I haven’t encountered the issue you mentioned. It’s likely that there’s a problem with the circulating fluid in your bearing sleeve, which has caused wear on the sleeve as well as uneven loading.
What’s the problem with this damaged rotor? Could you explain it in more detail?
It is not specified what the wear condition of the bearing sleeves and thrust discs is like, nor is it clear whether there are any scratches on the stator shielding sleeves. It is assumed that solid particles in the medium have scratched the rotor; generally, the rotor should not get damaged. It is recommended to check the inlet filter as well as the heating system, as some media may form crystals at low temperatures
There must be solid impurities in the material being transported! A filter is installed at the inlet, and the pump is filled before it is started.

There are two reasons: the inlet pipeline is dirty, resulting in insufficient flow; secondly, it’s the gas – check the filter and the circulation line.
