Requirements for the fabrication of pipes on pressure vessels

I have a question for everyone: For the complete set of equipment manufactured by our company, the pressure vessel components are designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME Volume VIII (without any stamping marks). However, it is not specified which standards apply to the pipes used; so should the manufacturing requirements for these pipes be based on the requirements of Volume VIII or those outlined in B31.3?
A container is a container, and a pipe is a pipe. Personal opinion: Volume 8 is suitable for containers and nozzles on containers ； Start from the nozzle and follow ASME B31.3.
The manufacturing of this pipe must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of B31.3...
B31.3: It depends on the customer’s requirements. ASME gives priority to the customer’s needs; if no such requirements are specified, other standards can be followed.

By combining the two, the stricter requirement is adopted in case of conflicts; this is how our factory operates.
