Fenton treatment time issue

When dealing with sulfonated sludge or other difficult-to-treat waters, the Fenton reaction often takes a long time! I would like to ask the experts: are there any ways to reduce the time required for the Fenton reaction? How effective is it?
1. Generally, other transition metal elements can be added as catalysts. 2. A heterogeneous system can be used as the reaction system; by “heterogeneous” it is meant that both liquid and solid phases are present in the system.
