The associated gas from oil fields is high in sulfur content and has a complex composition. After desulfurization using MDEA in a wet process, the removal of hydrogen sulfide is generally satisfactory. However, natural gas enters the condensation and separation unit, resulting in excessive levels of organic sulfur in the resulting mixed hydrocarbons. This leads to high levels of organic sulfur in both the liquefied gas and the mixed hydrocarbons after further separation; in particular, the liquefied gas has a strong odor, which affects its marketability. Additionally, the presence of heavy hydrocarbons after desulfurization causes the final boiling point of the light hydrocarbons to be above the acceptable level (greater than 190°C). Do any relevant refining companies have simple and effective processing methods for this issue? I hope all fellow sailors can offer their advice!
