Applied to coatings such as acrylic resin, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, and polyurethane resin, it can improve the dispersibility, physical properties, optical properties, and durability of these coatings, as well as enhance their scratch resistance. It can be used in ink production: to enhance its adhesion and gloss. ⑴ Plasticizers for solid inks, solid coatings, thermosetting powder coatings, and thermal printing toners. ⑵ It serves as a pigment carrier for liquid inks; its addition to inks used for thermal printing helps prevent leaching and improves the ink’s viscosity, water solubility, dispersibility, and emulsification properties. ⑶ It is an essential component for improving thermal sensitivity stability in thermal transfer and magnetothermal transfer recording media.
Similar to additives in food, it serves a supplementary role.
Mm-hm, yes, for example, when used as a plasticizer, it’s very effective. :)
