Low water temperatures in winter are not conducive to fungal growth; heating the water is an option, but it requires a lot of energy. Therefore, ponds are generally designed to be sunken, which helps maintain higher ground temperatures.
Isn’t a temperature control of over 10° required? Can the recessed type meet the requirements?
Considering the location of the wastewater treatment plant, it’s not necessary if it’s in the south; if it’s in the north, where the temperatures are lower, heating can be used in the equalization tank
The project we are operating is located in Xianyang, Shaanxi, where the water temperature remains very stable, at 17-19 degrees. I think if it runs continuously, insulation or heating shouldn’t be necessary; I’m not sure if that’s correct. :)
If it is outdoors, in the north, considering building an insulated shed might be a good option
