We use 20 m3 of sludge for dewatering; the moisture content of the sludge before dewatering is 99%, while the solid content of the dewatered sludge is 15%. This dewatered sludge is then sent for incineration. What is the amount of dewatered sludge?
20 cubic meters with a moisture content of 99% can be considered as 20 tons with a moisture content of 99%. The amount of solid mud in this mixture is therefore 1% * 20 tons = 0.2 tons. The dewatered sludge has a solid content of 15%, so the weight of the dewatered sludge is 0.2 / 15% = 1.333 tons :):) I’m not sure if this calculation is correct
I calculated it the same way; there’s no problem
