Our company’s requirements regarding equipment include having the manufacturer repair any damaged new equipment, purchasing spare parts, and managing external contractors for repairs and maintenance. It is also subject to evaluation by the Ministry of Safety and Environmental Protection. I wonder, experts, is the equipment department in your companies evaluated in the same way? Do you have the authority to evaluate other departments?
Nothing is absolute; it depends on who the leader is
If the company is small, the equipment department may be directly responsible for equipment maintenance, arranging repairs, managing construction tasks, and so on; it’s not surprising then that it comes under evaluation； In larger companies, the equipment department is primarily focused on management; it has workshops, maintenance departments, etc. Under it, performance is evaluated, but assessments are also made regarding others’ work in equipment management.
