When carrying out a project within an enterprise’s existing production facilities, is it possible to establish temporary fixed welding areas? Are fixed combustible gas detection alarms necessary in such temporary fixed welding areas?
Establishing a hot work area in the existing production zone poses a high level of risk. If such an area is indeed necessary, additional isolation barriers that can provide complete separation should be installed, and combustible gas detection alarms should be placed strategically throughout the site

A combustible gas detector is a device used to detect the concentration of combustible gases in the air; it enables the early detection of gas leaks, thereby preventing dangerous situations such as fires and explosions. Installing combustible gas detectors in designated hot work areas can effectively ensure the safety of workers
Great material; come on, let’s collect it together
When carrying out new construction, renovation, or expansion projects in the existing production facility area of an enterprise or in adjacent areas, provided that the conditions for establishing fixed hot work areas are met and the project area is separately isolated from the surrounding production facilities, the enterprise may designate that project area as a temporary fixed hot work area for management purposes. It is recommended to install fixed combustible gas detection alarms in the temporary fixed hot work area adjacent to the production unit area. Where conditions do not permit, a portable combustible gas detector and alarm should be provided to conduct continuous monitoring during hot work.
