In the US, they do not celebrate International Labor Day on May 1st because they consider it a socialist or communist holiday.
I don’t know why Women’s Day was established, but I think it’s a sensible initiative. These days, women in China are indeed given more respect than before; they are protected by laws not only in their daily lives but also in other aspects. Wishing all female compatriots all the best. 1. Women’s Day is about equality between men and women. 2. Now I think Chinese men need to pay more attention to this than women; the pressure on men is too high. 3. On this day, I hope to meet my future wife.
Tomorrow is International Women’s Day. I’m just wondering what the difference is between women and girls. Well, who can tell me? Maybe it has something to do with gender equality or something like that.
I’m not exactly sure which year the law established March 8th as Women’s Day, as I was born in the 1980s. At my age, women are equal to men – which shows that our society has made progress. Although establishing this day is important, it serves as a reminder to us time and again that women are also great, and should never be underestimated. Finally, best wishes to all women. For women around the world, the symbolism of Women’s Day holds a broader meaning: it is an occasion to reflect on how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace, and development. It is also an opportunity to unite, build networks, and mobilize for meaningful change. The reason why the UN dedicates a day specifically to celebrating women around the world is twofold, as stated in the General Assembly’s resolution on observing Women’s Day: first, to recognize that achieving peace, social progress, and the full enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms requires the active participation, equality, and advancement of women; and second, to acknowledge the contributions of women to the strengthening of international peace and security.
