I have recently been involved in coordinating with design firms, and I would like to know in detail what design documents a pressure vessel design firm should provide to the client Thank you
Let me start by talking from my personal experience – it’s not a strict rule written down! 1. One set of as-built drawings is provided for each piece of equipment, stamped with the official seal for pressure vessel design as well as the official seal for as-built drawings (for 70 sandblasting tanks in total, 70 sets of as-built drawings were prepared) ; 2. It seems that two copies of the calculation document are required (one for the boiler inspection agency and one for the user; this is now a mandatory requirement) ; 3. The material certification for all materials of this equipment must correspond to those of the container ; 4. Welding procedure qualification, I guess (I’m not in welding, so I’m not very familiar with this) ; 5. It’s a certification certificate issued by the boiler inspection agency (I’m not sure of its exact name), along with a unified serial number that seems to be printed on the nameplate ; It seems that these factory delivery documents are the responsibility of the quality supervision department; it shouldn’t be the design department’s task to provide such documents. This is just my personal opinion, for reference only!

The design entity of the pressure vessel shall provide the user with the design drawings, and if necessary, also provide design and installation (operation) manuals. For medium-pressure and high-pressure reaction pressure vessels as well as storage pressure vessels, the design agency shall provide the user with a strength calculation report.
1. Drawings 2. Calculation data 3. Installation instructions 4. Maintenance 5. Precautions 6. Inspection certificate from the safety authority

I’d like to add one more point: for third-category pressure vessels, a risk assessment report should be prepared during the design phase, including information on the main failure modes and risk control measures! ! ! This also needs to be provided by the user! !
Of course, there must be risk assessment reports and strength calculation documents. The design drawings prepared by the design agency are stamped with a red seal, and in some cases, separate technical specifications for fabrication and installation are provided as well

The design agency must provide the design drawings and strength calculations; For the three types of containers, a risk assessment report is also required, and if necessary, design, installation, and operation manuals as well. Other materials such as books and quality certification documents should be provided by the manufacturing unit. If it is designed by the design department of the manufacturing unit, it should be provided together.
