More than half a year after the forum launched its weekly topic initiative, the level of participation across different regions varied, and the results were not uniform. An examination of the implementation of this activity in the mechanical equipment division over the past six months revealed that the level of participation has been significantly low, and there are various reasons for this. Based on these circumstances, after more than a week of discussion among the moderators of the mechanical equipment section, it was decided to try out a new format for the weekly topic discussions. The new format involves discussing the notable events that occurred during the week at work. How to participate: Share real stories that happened at work this week related to technology, maintenance, etc. (Share with everyone the technical problems you encounter at work and the solutions you use to address them.) Even if it’s trivial, as long as there is something useful to learn from, one can participate! Share your experience and help solve puzzles or difficulties together. If the written description isn’t clear, you can send actual images so that everyone can analyze them together); in fact, doing one’s current tasks well is the key to performing better in the future! Let’s all share the little experiences we’ve gained at work, as well as the problems and challenges we’ve encountered, so that we can analyze them together with our colleagues (we have Hai Chuan’s most experienced technical experts available to help answer questions). The experiences of today are the foundation for our success tomorrow! For your own progress and for the common development of everyone, go and share it right away! All sections within the Mechanical Equipment category welcome everyone to actively participate in discussions and sharing!

Example 1: Today, our XXX pump broke down, so we organized repairs. Upon disassembly, it turned out that the shaft sleeve was worn out. Install after replacing the shaft sleeve. (One can continue to analyze the reasons and so on, or end it here.) Example 2: I received a new design task today – a shell-and-tube heat exchanger, which is very simple. No particularly difficult structures have been found for now. It is hoped that through the answers of fellow sailors, others can learn from this experience and draw lessons from it. All sea friends are encouraged to participate actively!

This approach is quite innovative and easy to use; it allows one to discuss work-related matters in a detailed and engaging manner, prompting reflection and encouraging progress. The Mechanical section is always at the forefront of the forum.
