What coal gasification cogeneration systems can be implemented in our country in the near future?
I’m not sure if you mean a project or a technical solution. If it is a project, Huaneng’s green coal-fired power plant is set to start operating by the end of the year; if it is a technical solution. Feasible options include: (1) Cogeneration: gas turbines, steam turbines, and gas-steam combined cycle power generation; (2) Thermochemical cogeneration: the main approaches in China are IGCC for methanol production by Yankuang, the dual-fuel system developed by Xie Kechang from Taiyuan University of Technology, as well as multi-product generation schemes proposed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University.
