Can corrosion allowance be ignored for all steam pipes?
We have all taken a corrosion margin of 1.6mm into account
What should be the corrosion allowance for boiler feedwater pipes? What should be the corrosion allowance for urban heating network pipes?
This is a valid question; of course, when using carbon steel pipes, one has to take that into consideration
Think about it; why not?
Different industries have different regulatory requirements
For objectively existing phenomena, the correct approach in any industry is consistent. May I ask, which industry does not need to consider the corrosion of carbon steel pipes by steam?

Although the power industry states that corrosion allowance is generally not necessary for steam and water pipelines, the wall thickness of these pipelines often does not need to be calculated. Typical design manuals provide specifications for steel pipes based on common parameters such as steam pressure and temperature; such a design approach effectively includes a certain amount of wall thickness allowance
