Hello, seniors! Recently, the security authorities inspected the company for potential safety hazards and required that wire plugs or blind flanges be installed on all drain pipes. Is there such a regulation? Additionally, for the drain lines of high-pressure pipelines, we use double valves; can we omit wire plugs or blind flanges at the end of these drain lines? Thank you!
Installing a plug plate actually provides protection for the interior of the end valve as well; for those drain valves that are not opened frequently, in the projects I’ve worked on before it was necessary to use blind plates
It’s made safer; we basically add it to everything we make
Now, the standard requires that thread plugs be installed on all drain pipes, and flange covers should be fitted on the end flanges
SH/T3122 provides specifications regarding the arrangement of exhaust and drainage valves in refining units, as well as whether wire plugs, pipe caps, or flange covers should be used. I don’t know what kind of device you have, but you can refer to it

Our plant uses threaded plug pipe caps for all drain guides
In accordance with the requirements of Article (V) of the \"Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Leak Management in Chemical Enterprises\" (An Jian Zong Guan San [2014] No. 94), when designing discharge valves such as those at the outlets and sampling points of equipment and pipelines, measures such as installing blind flanges, thread plugs, pipe caps, and dual valves should be employed to reduce the likelihood of leaks
Is it necessary to install guide pipes whenever there are such pipes? For example, are guide pipes also required for pipelines for water, electricity, gas, and air in utility systems? ?
Theoretically, liquid pipelines, as well as gas pipelines that require hydrostatic testing, need to be drained.
Are there any relevant regulations? For example, is it necessary to install a blind flange on the drain valve of the circulating water pipeline?
