I would like to ask the experts: is the installation direction of this control valve different from that of a regular globe valve? Isn’t it in from below and out from above?
Generally, valve bodies have arrow markings.
Look at the arrow on the valve body: for high-pressure applications, it’s difficult to shut off completely, so a design with high inlet and low outlet is used
Generally, it is from bottom to top, but sometimes high-pressure pipelines are used in the reverse direction as well.
Check the arrow markings on the valve body; if none are available, consult the manual or contact the manufacturer.
Generally, it is designed to have low input and high output, but for better sealing, it is also possible to install it in reverse~~
Is it a stop valve? Generally, it is required to have fluid flow in from below and out from above; in very rare cases, installation in the reverse direction may be required. I’m just not sure whether the internal structure of the valve needs to change when installed in reverse

Instead, the type of valve is selected based on the requirements of the process. Some have a single valve seat while others have a dual valve seat; the choice depends on factors such as leakage rate and pressure difference before and after.
For those below DN250, it is low inlet and high outlet; for those above DN250, considering the force required to operate the valve, it is high inlet and low outlet
