When working on pipe design, has anyone encountered a situation where it’s possible to have the branch pipes rest directly on the ground, with those pipes used to support the main pipes? Is such a design in compliance with the regulations?
I’m not sure if it complies with the standards, but I’ve indeed never seen piping arranged in this way. Pipe supports should come with brackets; in my opinion, this arrangement is not suitable, as the welds between the branch pipes and the main pipe will experience stress, which can lead to cracks and leaks

Personally, I think this approach is not proper, but I’m stuck because I can’t find any guidelines on how to refute such a situation. I once saw a guideline stating that fittings should not touch the ground directly, but I was unable to locate the exact source of this rule. .

It does not meet the specification requirements: (1) Branch pipes should generally emerge from above the main pipe; (2) It is not clear what equipment is located on the right side, and the stress on the pipe connections of that equipment does not meet the required standards. (3) The blind end of the branch pipe is too long, exceeding the requirements of the corrosion specifications. (4) If used in front of the pump, an adjustable-height bracket should be employed. There are a few more areas that do not meet the standards; the reference books on pipeline design outline the basic requirements, but it seems that the designer does not understand pipeline design
