We are currently working on a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant project that involves the installation of some air compression pipelines. The pipeline design requires S316L, BA pipes, and SCH10S ； The URS requirements for air compressors specify S304 pipes; the piping and valves are to be connected using clamps or welding, and both the pipes and valves must have 3A certification for sanitary use. From the information I’ve gathered so far, neither DN32 nor DN125 pipes have 3A certification; moreover, the pipes that do have 3A certification are all thin-walled pipes connected by clamping. I would like to ask everyone if they could provide me with the following information: 1. Information regarding 3A-certified pipes? 2. What are the GMP requirements for compressed air pipelines? Can threaded valves be used to connect the pipes to meet the requirements?

The 3A specification refers to ASTM-A270-3A; pipes, fittings, and valves are all sanitary-grade products designed to work together (using clamping connections), and manufacturers can supply them as a complete set. Neither the threaded valves nor the Sch10S pipes meet the requirements.

The instruments involved, such as pressure gauges and sensors, are all connected by threading. There are none with 3A pipe diameters of DN32 and DN125.
