I would like to ask about the fire separation distance between Class A gas handling facilities (compressors) and open-flame heating furnaces in petrochemical projects: According to the relevant distance requirements in GB50160, a distance of 22.5 meters is sufficient; however, both Article 3.4.3 of GB50016 and the newly issued GB55037 stipulate that the fire separation distance between Class A facilities and areas with open flames or sparks should be no less than 30 meters. I would like to ask everyone how things are carried out during the project process. During reviews, some experts suggest following building codes, while others say that it’s not necessary to do so.
