In a project, various pipes are modeled using 3D piping techniques. When producing the drawings, both a list of pipe segments and axonometric views are generated. I asked, since there are already axonometric views, what’s the need for a list of pipe segments? The answer was: “Required by HG20519-2009.” ”I’ve been doing this for many years; generally, I create axonometric drawings of process pipelines and large utility systems. For smaller, less important pipelines, drawings are sometimes produced to guide installation, and tables are prepared to specify the materials needed, but it’s rare to provide both at the same time. But does my approach violate HG20519-2009? How can I persuade him?
