I have always had a question, and I hope someone can give me some guidance: when natural compensation is used for high-temperature pipes like steam pipes, it is necessary to install fixing points. For normal-temperature pipes such as compressed air pipelines, is it still necessary to install fixing points when natural compensation is used? Is it sufficient to just set up the sliding bracket?

Normal-temperature pipes generally also seem to require fixed brackets; otherwise, natural compensation seems to be ineffective. So, does a normal-temperature pipe require natural compensation? Generally, from what I’ve seen, when using normal-temperature pipes over long distances in pipe galleries, natural compensation is also required, although the amount of compensation needed is less than that for heat pipes. Heat pipes are calculated; it is necessary to determine how many are needed and what the amount of compensation should be. But it seems that for normal-temperature pipes, just making a few based on personal experience is sufficient. But this needs to be explained by an expert in stress theory.
