Should a U-shaped drain be designed for the vacuum exhaust pipe?

Vacuum is used to remove exhaust gases, and sometimes the liquid in the reaction vessel is drawn out as well. Should a U-shaped drainage pipe be designed to allow for regular drainage or in case of an emergency?
I have a reasonable suggestion based on the design institute’s work!
Personally, I think a U-shaped bend with a tank in the middle would work fine
The key is to know when there is liquid in the tube If too many are arranged, it increases the workload; if too few, liquid leakage occurs. It’s better to design a buffer tank and add a remote transmission system
