How should the design pressure for pipelines at atmospheric pressure be determined? Which specification has such requirements?
For ordinary pipes with no special requirements, the design pressure is determined based on the process; it is generally set according to the point of highest pressure in the piping system. If the temperature of the pipeline is high, the allowable stress of the pipeline decreases at such temperatures; therefore, the operating pressure at the design temperature also needs to be adjusted.
