Hey guys, do you have RJ flange covers? The pipeline needs to be pressurized, but the flange side is of RJ type. If there is no RJ flange cover, can a blind plate be used instead? It seems that sealing won’t be possible in that case

I know flanges are available; they have already been welded in place. I was wondering if there are any flange covers as well
HG 20592 B16.5 also has blind flanges with RTJ; you can check that.
If there are no blind flanges for RTJ available, it can also be done in the following manner. Imagine one of those sections as an RFC flange. It’s just that the gasket changes in form.

For flange covers with RJ, a flat blind plate cannot be used for pressure application; the RJ surface is typically used in high-pressure conditions, and the sealing surface is in the form of a trapezoidal groove – a flat blind plate cannot provide proper sealing in such cases
