LZ is a student who has no experience in industrial practice; recently they have been working on some conceptual design calculations and have run into some problems, so they would like to ask everyone for help. As shown in the figure, there are four units: A, B, C, and D. A is connected to C and D, with material flow exchange occurring between them; C is connected to A and B, with material flow exchange as well. Since there is a shunt from A to C and D, a three-way valve Va is installed; at this point, there is also a shunt from C to A and B, so a three-way valve Vc can also be installed. Here comes the question: since the three-way valve at A already controls the opening and closing between A and C, can a on/off valve Vcb be used on the branch leading to B? In that case, the number of valves used would change from 2 three-way valves to 1 three-way valve and 1 on/off valve. If the price of the three-way valve is higher than that of the on/off valve, could this approach help save money? ? I’m asking everyone, is this feasible?
Just use a direct four-way connector – why go through such trouble? For your plan, what if it only needs to go from A to B?

It depends on your specific manufacturing process; just rule out those possibilities, and if there are no issues then it’s fine
