The image above shows corrosion resulting from long-term leakage through the blind flange; internal leakage in the valve made it impossible to seal it with a blind flange. The image below shows the flange surface being polished smooth before it is used again. What do everyone do?
After a simple grinding treatment of the sealing surface, defects such as unevenness, scratches, and pits may remain on it, which can affect the sealing performance of the gasket. If corrosion layer removal is necessary, it is recommended to use turning as the method. Or simply sand the surface with sandpaper
