The filter element of the Y-type filter at the pump inlet has been damaged and needs to be replaced. I’d like to ask if there is any standard for this type of filter element Once the valve is determined, is the filter screen usually fixed? Do manufacturers supply such filter valve units?
The valve body is the same; if the medium is different, the filter element will also be different. It can be purchased from the manufacturer, but buying it separately is likely to be quite expensive
20# GB/T8163 PN2.0 RF welded Y-type, SH/T3411, 30-mesh; the valve body is made of carbon steel while the filter screen is made of stainless steel. All requirements for placing the order have been met
The model number of this valve is GL41W. May I ask what each letter represents? Can it be told that it was manufactured to that standard? It travels via water; what is the typical count?
If I buy the filter separately, what if it doesn’t work? It’s also troublesome to go back and forth. A filter that was replaced directly. Suggestions.
It’s best to replace the filter directly; it’s reliable and hassle-free
The Y-type filter is a type of safety filter, and the filter screen can be selected based on the size of the object to be protected. For example, to prevent accidental drops of objects, a filter with a mesh size of 80–100 mesh is sufficient; if it is used as a secondary safeguard after a primary filter, then a filter with a mesh size similar to that of the primary filter’s filter media should be chosen.
If the fluid in question is water, I think it would be fine to use a wire mesh with a mesh size similar to that of the original filter, and have the maintenance staff fabricate one. Economical and cost-effective...:lol
There’s no need to be so wasteful; just wrap it in a stainless steel mesh. A screen size of 30 mesh is generally sufficient for the pump inlet; the filter at the pump inlet serves mainly to prevent large objects from entering the pump, rather than for filtering purposes (except in the case of shielded pumps).
Is the caliber large? It’s not necessary to buy a filter; the filter screen should be double-layered – 60 mesh should be sufficient if water is flowing through it
There is a difference between finding manufacturers of filters and those of valves; there are standards, different operating conditions, and variations in the amount of molybdenum used
