With a gas flow rate of 9,000 m3/h, and the pressure to be increased from 5 kPa to 125 kPa, the current approach involves using a Roots blower in combination with a liquid ring vacuum pump; the cost of using compressors is relatively high. Are there any other types of mechanical equipment that can be used instead? The investment and operating costs are relatively low. Thank you all first!
Imported brand screw blowers – these products have been around for almost 30 years; they are highly mature, efficient, but expensive. Alternatively, two Roots blowers can be used in series, which is the cheapest option, though the operating costs are high, mainly due to electricity expenses.
