Is the pressure of the air supply related to the selection of the actuator? The poster encountered a problem today regarding the pressure of the air supply, such as 0.4 or 0.6. Does it have an impact on the selection of actuators for pneumatic diaphragm control valves and pneumatic on/off valves? Personal understanding is irrelevant; the size of the actuator depends solely on the maximum shut-off pressure of the pipeline. Is there a misunderstanding? If relevant, what does it have to do with the selection of the executing agency?

The pressure of the air supply is just one of the factors to consider when selecting an actuator. If the pressure is low, a single-acting actuator with too many springs may fail to open or may not open fully (due to excessive spring force). In a double-acting actuator, the force generated is reduced when driven by a gas source with low pressure; force = pressure × area of application.
There is a relationship: the pressure of the air supply directly affects the output torque of the actuator. Therefore, when selecting an actuator, a minimum value for the air supply pressure is specified; the chosen actuator must be able to generate sufficient force at this minimum pressure. The lower the minimum value, the larger the actuator needs to be
