May I ask, what is the difference between necked butt-weld flanges and integral flanges?
A welded steel pipe flange with a neck refers to a single flange piece; one end of it is the welding end, which is used for welding connection to the pipeline, while the other end has a sealing surface in the form of a flange, which is used for making contact with the sealing surface of the matching flange.
An integral steel pipe flange refers to the flange located on the valve; it has a sealing surface at one end, which is used to connect with the matching flange, while the other end is integrated with the valve body. If they are of the same specification, the dimensions of their sealing surfaces and flange holes are exactly identical.
The only difference is the location of the connection at the back and the manufacturing process; everything else is the same. Most of the flanges are cast, while those with necks and welded joints are mostly forged
