Procedure for greasing a gate valve (1) Preparation: Prepare butter, a butter gun, and cotton yarn. (2) Steps: ① Unscrew the lid of the butter gun and add butter to the chamber. ②Close the butter gun lid and squeeze the handle until butter flows out. ③According to the specifications of the grease nozzles specified for the valve configuration, select an appropriate grease gun nozzle to install at the grease outlet of the grease gun. ④Wipe the valve oil filler with cotton yarn. ⑤Align the grease gun nozzle with the valve’s grease fitting, and use the handle of the Yadong grease gun to apply grease until it overflows from the valve stem hole. ⑥Open the valve fully, apply butter evenly to the valve stem threads, and turn the handwheel several times to open and close it. ⑦Count the tools and clean the equipment. (3) Technical requirements: ① The butter extrusion gun should not be used too quickly to prevent butter from splashing out. ②The operator must not be facing the valve directly. ③The valve will operate smoothly once butter is applied.
