For equipment used in the production of pharmaceutical intermediates, where the pressure in the material pipelines is not high, at around 0.6 MPa, is galvanized pipe suitable for use? How are fittings such as valves and elbows connected to galvanized pipes?
Welding is generally not allowed for connecting galvanized pipes. Flange connection, threaded connection, or clamp connection are generally used.
If the operating pressure of the material is 0.6 MPa, seamless steel pipes are recommended

For such applications, we use food-grade stainless steel for the pipes; welding can be used as a connection method, but TIG welding must be used as the base layer, while valves and equipment are connected using flanges.
