ASME B31.3 Stiffening for Squeeze Tees

Regarding the reinforcement of extruded tees per ASME B31.3, I have a question and would appreciate guidance from experts: for the main pipe of an extruded tee, should its outer diameter be the same as that of the connecting pipes, with reinforcement applied inwardly?； Should the inner diameter remain consistent with that of the pipe fitting, with reinforcement added on the outside?
The outer diameter of extrusion tee molds is almost always fixed
The outer diameter should remain the same, while the inner diameter needs to be reinforced. The outer diameter mold should be fixed; making changes to it would result in high costs.
Different factories are different; I’ve seen both types.
