Can threaded connections be created on welded pipes? I would appreciate some guidance from experts, thank you!
I can only say that I’ve never seen it. It has not been seen on the market, nor at the processing facility. Standard? I don’t know.
Machine threads refer to those processed on lathes, while thread processing for pipes generally refers to the direct fitting method used for imperial pipes.
If the thickness of the steel pipe is sufficient, of course it’s possible to thread it! The most common are compressed air pipes; for those with a pressure of 7 kilograms or less, this method is generally used as it is very cost-effective.
It must be possible; the cutting tool can be sharpened without any problems. It’s just that the pipes cannot withstand very high pressures.
Why is welded pipe used for such small pipes?
