Is there any specific term for a pump outlet pipeline with three or four 90-degree elbows?
Can it be designed without or with less design? Are there any other functions?

Judging from your pictures, such bends are mainly intended to facilitate operation. It’s not clear what kind of valve it is; it seems to be a check valve. At this height, it’s possible to carry out operations and maintenance while standing on the ground, without the need for platforms or ladders. On the other hand, this increases the resistance in the pipes.
