As shown in the diagram, all of them are shims with a diameter of 150. Our device has shims placed on the flange; why won’t shims with a narrower outer diameter work, while those with a wider outer diameter do? Could it be related to the pressure exerted by the flange?

On the left side of the poster is a metal wound gasket with inner and outer rings, which is generally used for flanges with an RF sealing surface; On the right is the standard type of metal wound gasket, which is generally used for flanges with a tongue-and-groove sealing surface. Gaskets must be selected according to the different types of sealing surfaces; they cannot be used arbitrarily.
For flanges with the same thread size, the size of the gaskets used varies depending on the pressure rating, and there are differences depending on whether they comply with national standards, Ministry of Chemicals standards, or petrochemical industry standards. Different flange types require different types of gaskets.
Use the first one normally, and place the second one directly on the sealing surface. Also: The standards are different.
