Are lens pads and metal ring pads the same thing?

What pressure range is the lens pad suitable for? After looking up information online, it seems that the principle behind lens pads and metal ring pads is similar; then why aren’t they the same thing?
Above PN160, they are not the same thing; their shapes are different and their standards vary as well
It’s different. The metal gasket standards set by the national standards and the Ministry of Chemical Industry can be used for class 2500. The sealing using lens gaskets follows the standards of the Ministry of Machinery, and they can withstand low pressures. The response standards can be compared
I can’t find the standards for the flanges used with lenses at the moment. Could you provide the standard numbers or relevant information? Thank you!

The sealing locations of these two components are completely different: the lens gasket is placed between the sealing surfaces of the pipes, while the metal ring gasket is placed between the sealing surfaces of the flanges. You can understand this by looking at pictures available online.
