Can a three-way valve handle solid-liquid mixtures? If it can survive, how long would its lifespan usually be?
There are three-way valves suitable for solids. Dedicated.
Can you explain it clearly? If there are no other special requirements, at least our company’s three-way coaxial valve can handle solid-liquid mixtures
It can be used, but its lifespan is uncertain; it also depends on the manufacturer
With insoluble solid particles, is this possible?
The coaxial valves produced by our company are most commonly used in machine tools and cleaning machines. The main reason for their use in these devices is that the fluids that need to be controlled – namely coolant and cleaning fluid – contain a large amount of metal shavings; for example, in engine manufacturing, the fluid consists of liquid mixed with aluminum alloy shavings or cast iron shavings. The main competitive advantages of coaxial valves lie in 3 aspects: 1. Resistance to dirt, that is, the ability to withstand various debris and sediment in water or other liquids ; 2. High-pressure resistance, capable of handling media up to 70 MPa ; 3. Fast response speed, with switching times in the millisecond range. Of course, there are some other advantages as well. However, its disadvantages are also quite obvious: for example, it cannot be lined with rubber or plastic, it cannot withstand high temperatures, it cannot be used for external heating via coiled tubes, and it has low resistance to media that tend to condense or form scale. Therefore, when dealing with solid-liquid mixtures that are not highly corrosive and do not condense at room temperature, a three-way coaxial valve is a better choice.
Our current customer applications include, but are not limited to: cutting fluids and cleaning solutions for the machining industry; clay used in the ceramics industry; bentonite for shield machines; pneumatic conveying of solid powders; and slurry water used in the metallurgy industry. These are all solid-liquid mixtures or gas-solid mixtures. I won’t introduce other cleaning agents to you. You can also send me an email at zhangzhen@chinaxtgy.com
