There are many specifications and size standards involved; for example, according to GB17395 2008, the 76X8 size belongs to the first series, and if one wants a size that is closer to that, it corresponds to DN 65, which is 2.5 inches in diameter. It’s best not to mention such specifications, as it can lead to discrepancies. It is best to express it as outer diameter plus wall thickness.
Seamless steel pipes are subject to numerous standards; in China, steel grade 20 is included in various lists, and each standard pertains to seamless steel pipes made from grade 20 steel. The requirements for chemical elements and mechanical properties, as well as the inspection items, are all different.
