I read in chemical engineering design manuals that pipes should have a slope, with this slope generally running in the direction of fluid flow. The manuals then provide specific slope values for certain types of pipes (such as steam and steam condensate). I also saw in the standards that pipes throughout the entire system should have a slope, and that this slope should not be less than 0.02. . . . ”Are these two combined? Are only pipes for overall steam, steam condensate, and the like required to have a slope? Are pipes for steam or something like that also needed? Additionally, I hope the expert can explain which pipes it is best to give a slope to during piping, even if there is no requirement specified in the PID.
Steam and water pipelines both require a hydrophobic slope
