Valve selection when the medium is lime slurry

The electrically actuated ceramic V-ball valve used in the desulfurization project handles a medium of 16% lime slurry at a temperature of around 30 degrees, with a flow rate of 2 m3/H. After some time of use, it was found to have poor regulating performance and the ball core broke apart; now replacement is being considered. I’m seeking advice from fellow sailors: what other type of control valve is suitable for regulating lime slurry? Can an eccentric plug valve be used?
Maybe the ceramic lining wasn’t made properly. What’s the caliber?
The material of the possible ceramic balls might not be good enough; the hardness of ceramics is fine though
For desulfurization projects that involve transporting lime water, pumps with linings made of ultra-high molecular weight materials are sufficient; the same applies to valves, which can be lined with plastic or ceramic.
It might be related to the manufacturing process; ceramics are very durable
