What is the difference between upward/downward opening discharge valves and inward/outward opening discharge valves?

Can it be understood in this way that an upward-opening valve is equivalent to an outward-opening valve? Help needed

This valve is usually located at the bottom of the equipment; the valve’s handwheel is situated at the lower part of it. When the valve core moves downward, it opens, which can also be understood as an outward movement.
When to use the upward expansion style and when to use the downward expansion style
The manufacturer information available online is almost all identical; everyone copies from each other, and even the spelling mistakes are the same. How is it possible to produce good products with such an attitude? ? My understanding is that in the outward-opening type (upward-opening type), the valve plate protrudes upward when the valve is opened to allow fluid to pass through; the valve plate may extend into the reaction vessel, and if the vessel is being stirred at that time, it could collide with the stirrer. The inward-opening type is the opposite: the valve plate moves downward when opened, so it doesn’t come into contact with the stirrer, and this also requires less effort
