Why is a short section added between the valve and the steam distribution cylinder? Useful?
Protect the valve by preventing stress concentration from causing prolonged torque on the nozzle and valve, which could lead to damage?
Easy to replace the valve? Guess: lol, some manufacturers have different structural dimensions
This probably won’t work; it’s best to check if the original image matches. Additionally, it appears to be short-circuited on the outside. In fact, a butterfly check valve is also possible. It is recommended to lift the covering metal sheet to take a look.
It should have been replaced once; it’s not the original one
I suspect that the flange of the steam drum and the flange of the valve are not of the same standard and do not match, so a short section was made as a flange adapter
